Overview and Structure

Presence in the Region

Established in 1997 and with headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, Special Olympics Europe/Eurasia (SOEE) plays an active role in supporting organizational development of National Programs in Western, Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

SOEE provides year-round assistance to its 58 Special Olympics National Programs in becoming better known, better funded and more successful in both expanding and improving sports opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

SOEE also serves as an advocate, is responsible for European level competitions and establishes European level partnerships.
